Citric Blend

Citric Blend adds acidity to your cocktails, it can replace lemon/lime juice where you don’t need the texture or aroma of fresh citrus. The perfect tool for high volume service & pre-batching cocktails.

In order to mimic the acidity profile of limes, we combined 100% food-grade ingredients. No rocket science involved.

INGREDIENTS

WATER
Demineralised water is water that has been purified to remove (most of ) its mineral and salt ions.

CITRIC ACID
The primary acid in lemon juice is citric acid. On its own, it tastes like lemon. It is clean, hits hard and fast, and fades quickly.

MALIC ACID
Malic acid is the primary acid in apples and tastes like green-apple candy. However, its flavour lingers more prolonged than that of citric acid.

FRUCTOSE
Lemons and limes contain fructose, which provides a quicker and more intense sweetness than sucrose, but the effect fades faster.

SALT
Lemons and limes contain a small amount of salt, which we have carefully balanced to enhance the texture and lengthen the flavour of the drinks without making them taste salty.

SODIUM BENZOATE
This preservative extends the shelf life of cordials and pre-batched cocktails, while also inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria in bottled or tap water.
